Mediation volgens MfN-richtlijnen

De MfN (Mediatorsfederatie Nederland) is de onafhankelijke kwaliteitsorganisatie voor mediation in Nederland. Al onze mediators zijn MfN-registermediators. Dat betekent dat zij werken volgens heldere gedragsregels en een professioneel reglement.

Een mediationtraject begint altijd met het ondertekenen van een mediationovereenkomst. Daarmee spreken partijen onder andere af dat zij:

zich inspannen om het conflict gezamenlijk op te lossen
bevoegd zijn om bindende afspraken te maken
de vertrouwelijkheid van het proces respecteren

Stappen in het Mediationproces

1. Individuele voorgesprekken

Voorafgaand aan de gezamenlijke sessies spreken onze mediators afzonderlijk met beide partijen. Deze gesprekken zijn vertrouwelijk en bieden ruimte om perspectieven, zorgen en doelen te delen.

2. Ondertekening mediationovereenkomst

Tijdens de eerste gezamenlijke bijeenkomst wordt de mediationovereenkomst besproken en ondertekend. Hiermee gaan beide partijen akkoord met de uitgangspunten van het proces.

3. Oplossingsgerichte gesprekken

Onder begeleiding van de mediator bespreken partijen hun standpunten en belangen. De gesprekken zijn toekomstgericht, met ruimte voor emoties én concrete oplossingen. De mediator bewaakt de balans en zorgt voor een veilige gespreksomgeving.

4. Vastleggen van afspraken

Zijn partijen tot overeenstemming gekomen? Dan worden de afspraken schriftelijk vastgelegd in een mediationeindovereenkomst of vaststellingsovereenkomst. Daarmee eindigt het mediationtraject formeel.

In veel gevallen kunnen geschillen binnen één tot drie gesprekken worden opgelost.

Onafhankelijk, vertrouwelijk en op maat

Onze mediators zijn strikt onpartijdig en bieden een veilige omgeving om samen te werken aan duurzame oplossingen. Ze bepalen zelfstandig, in overleg met partijen, hoe het traject wordt vormgegeven. Afspraken kunnen worden vastgelegd in een mediationeindovereenkomst of vaststellingsovereenkomst, waarmee de mediation wordt afgesloten. Vaak kunnen conflicten zo snel en effectief worden opgelost binnen twee à drie gesprekken.
Wij begeleiden het proces zorgvuldig en respectvol.
